that in the middle of a pandemic,
he's charted his direction.
With an encouraging yet worried tone,
she can only guide and remind him of the perils
of leaving for another country amid the chaos
and the risks from this health crisis
and a looming diplomatic conflict
from the bully in the region.
But in her soul, she knows better
than to interfere between a man and his vision,
a courageous man who has decided
to go after his own heart.
She's guessed it right:
it's in his blood.
They couldn't fault her for forging ahead,
amid the threats, reminders, and pleas
from those who loved her as she decided
to pursue her own adventures
in the deserts of the east
not too long ago.
They mythicized that being a woman
would endanger and put her at risk
in a society where men flash their machismo
and their women are best hidden away
in their enclaves because they could be seen
as trappings of the flesh.
But they soon recognized that spirit
as she followed her own heart,
a heart that flowed with courage and passion
for wondrous exploits.
They guessed it right:
that blood, indeed! 🌷
