I’ve paused!
The reality of age's struck me,
not like a bolt of lightning,
but of the soft and tender
touch of feathers on my skin.
I should celebrate!
The pause doesn’t have to mean that
I've stopped from being free-spirited,
gloriously happy, and productive.
A second bloom, a kind of
reopening to new experiences,
a reawakening,
this pause doesn’t make me less
or insecure of the woman
that I’ve become.
It is my own pause!
the one that completes
my identity and evolution.
I embrace it,
like the welcoming
of a new life,
like all the many chapters
that I’ve lived and
have made me WHOLE! 🌷
